Continuing our journey towards Merzouga via Skoura, a historically fertile oasis graced with expansive palm groves in the Drâa-Tafilalet region of the Atlas Mountains, we’ll be treated to the mesmerizing beauty of the Dades River and its magnificent gorges.
Our odyssey persists, leading us to Rissani, renowned for hosting the largest souk in the region. From there, we venture further, ultimately reaching the Merzouga Desert. At the edge of the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, our trusty camels await your arrival. A pause amidst these undulating dunes provides a perfect opportunity to capture the enchanting sunset through your lens and partake in the thrill of sandboarding on the rippling sands of Merzouga.

Starting the day early, we’re treated to a magnificent sunrise. Following a delightful breakfast, we’ll depart from the camp in a 4×4 car, heading towards Merzouga. From there, our journey to Fez commences.
Our first leg takes us through the scenic Ziz Valley, pausing at a vantage point overlooking a palm tree-filled oasis. We’ll also make a stop along the route within a cedar forest near Ifrane, where you might spot some Barbary macaques. Continuing on, we’ll traverse the Middle Atlas Mountains.
In the afternoon, we’ll reach Fez, concluding your 2-day Marrakech to Fez desert tour by dropping you off at your Riad in the Medina.
