Day 1: Marrakesh » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate [200Km]
Your first day starts with a departure from Marrakesh, heading towards the stunning Ait Ben Haddou. Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Nomads Families - Khamlia Village - Erg Chebbi
On the third day, you’ll experience the desert’s full splendor, starting with an awe-inspiring sunrise from a dune’s summit, before you take your breakfast and freshen up, ride the camels back, or4x4 vehicule to the departure point.
Our route takes us along the contours of the expansive Erg Chebbi, the sandy desert home to the legendary Big Dune of Morocco, towering at a majestic height of more than 250 meters. We’ll trace the path of the former Paris-Dakar rally, affording stunning views of the mountains bordering Algeria.
Throughout the day, we’ll make notable stops, including the Tissardmin oasis, where traces of fossil quarries from the past can still be seen. Continuing along the road, you’ll encounter nomadic settlements, providing insight into their unique way of life.
The journey culminates in Khamlia Village, where you can unwind with a refreshing cup of tea and revel in the captivating sounds of Gnawa spiritual music, an enchanting performance you won’t want to miss.
