Day 1: Fes to Merzouga via Azrou, Midelt and Erfoud [468 Km]

After an early rise to savor a breathtaking sunrise camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, you’ll arrive at the camp operator’s lodge in Merzouga for breakfast and a refreshing shower. If you opt for the luxurious camp upgrade, breakfast will be served at the camp, and showers are conveniently available at your tent.
Following this, meet your driver/guide and embark on a picturesque journey to Fes, traversing the stunning Ziz Valley through Errachidia, the capital of the Tafilalt region. Progressing onwards, reach Midelt for a leisurely lunch before venturing through the Middle Atlas Mountains, known for their Cedar Forests and the Berber towns of Imouzzar and Ifran, both renowned as winter ski resorts for Moroccans.
Keep an eye out for Barbary apes along the route, providing an excellent opportunity for your driver to capture some memorable pictures. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Fes, concluding your desert tour with a drop-off at your hotel or riad.
