Your adventure leads you to Merzouga, where you will encounter the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes. These massive dunes are a sight, with the tallest reaching over 250 meters.
With the day’s explorations behind you, you will take a camel trek to head to the camp, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a stunning desert sunset. Enjoy a delightful dinner and entertainment around the fire, featuring Berber drums, before spending the night in a well-equipped desert camp with all amenities amid the tranquility of the desert.
Day 3: Merzouga » Azrou Cedar forest & Barbary Apes » Fes [466 km]
Continuing our captivating 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour, your day begins with the awe-inspiring spectacle of sunrise atop the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast with a view at the camp and a refreshing shower, you have the choice of either riding camels back to the starting point or opting for a 4WD transfer—it’s entirely up to you.
With the Merzouga experience behind us, we set out for Fes. The tour unfolds through the picturesque Ziz Valley, passing through Midelt, and onward to Ifrane City, often referred to as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” En route, you’ll traverse the renowned Middle Atlas cedar forest in Azrou, home to Barbery apes. A short walk here allows for picturesque moments and photo opportunities.
As the day progresses, we reach the imperial city of Fes in the late afternoon. Your riad/hotel awaits, marking the end of the road and the beginning of unforgettable memories and tales from a remarkable journey.
